I like to explore my thoughts, feelings...
I like to soak in the vastness of my soul and feel existence...
I like to get to know other cultures and feel how much humanity is universal...
I like to feel the humanity when meeting others and inside of me...
To me, this is the best trip: the trip of the Soul!
To write with “The Light” and the “Letters”, expressing my impressions,
sharing my experiences through the language of the heart, this is a gift from heaven.
I am grateful!

Brazilian, 35, from of Rio de Janeiro, accountant, auditor, with a Masters in Psychology.

I discovered the passion for photography in 2001, when backpacking through the Andes. It was the realization of a lifelong dream, to travel the world. Entranced by the beauty of the Andean landscape, I photographed every angle that landed on my retinas. I wanted to immortalize the exuberance and magnitude of the nature.

In 2002, I attended the workshop, of João Paulo Barbosa, in nature photography. Since 2003, I studied at Escola de Fotografia Ateliê da Imagem (a photography school in Rio de Janeiro). I studied under Simone Rodrigues and Walter Firmo, specialist in color. I attended courses in Visual Inclusion by Doralice Araújo and Composition of Images by André Dorigo.

I specialized in Applied Photography with emphasis on Social Sciences at Candido Mendes University in 2005.

In 2008, I presented my dissertation on Consumer-Society from a Collective-Photography perspective: views of adolescence from poor communities Largo do Machadinho and Pedreira, Granja Guarani, Teresópolis, RJ. I qualified for a master's degree in Psychology of Communities and Social Ecology at the Federal University Rio de Janeiro.

Several trips in South America resulted in a great willingness to share my experiences, which led to my publishing articles in the Jornal do Brasil (A Brazilian Newspaper) between 2004 and 2006. I discovered pleasure of writing and my love for literature was born.

I’ve purposely chosen the shirt with the quote "Gentileza gera Gentileza” (“Kindness generates Kindness”) for my introductory picture.

The first time I read this, the most famous quote of the prophet-poet Gentileza, I smiled with joy. It made me feel certain that humanity is on the right way to a world with more love and brotherhood.

Rio de Janeiro has adopted this stance: "Rio with Kindness". Now it is only to spread it all over the world! Planet Earth with Kindness!

I´ve chosen “Os Dois Irmãos” (The Two Brothers) for the bottom of the picture, on Ipanema beach, to integrate the scene, due to its meaning: the Brotherhood. Loving one another generates Kindness. Love generates Peace.

I thank the photographer and my friend André Pinnola who, by joking and playing with me, let me feel very comfortable, and captured one of the most important things in a good portrait: a spontaneous smile. I thank my friend André for making me smile!

I wish the planet would smile more and more, rapt with so much Kindness!
